that we can go beyond our existence by following an institution of beliefs of a divine power. Mankind who believe themselves the only ones capable of this phenomenon merely made of bone and sinew how are we to know we have a soul? Yep its pretty drastic, and the film is very abstract. The film starts with a birth scene and the main action is composed of the forms progression into religion by series of actions relative to christian principles for prayer. Then the form dies when the bone and sinew (referential objects: sheer red cloth and stone) separate and the form lives on as it travels from its previous environment to the one unknown but as an immaterial actualization of an accomplished religious soul.
The film takes place in water as water helps reference the fluid necessary for all life, it is the basis for all animals while humanity feels we can supersede it. Also, in the end it helps the abstract reference to the immersion within holy water.
